How soon can I get my product? It depends on which manufacturer makes the product, and its’ current availability. When we give you a quote, we’ll also let you know how long it will take. It could be as little as two or as many as eight weeks. Can I get a custom size? Doors and windows can be ordered in custom sizes. Hardware is as shown. What are the costs related to each type of window? Vinyl and aluminum windows are the least expensive. Wooden windows are higher in cost but are also more beautiful, and fit into many more architectural styles. Wood windows can be made as durable as aluminum or vinyl on outside. Can my window glass be treated so that furniture and carpet fading can be prevented? Yes. There are clear films available that don’t alter the color of the glass. They cut out infrared (heat) and ultraviolet (fading damage) rays. If I get double-paned glass, do I have to worry about it fogging, or moisture getting between the glass? Most manufacturers have a either a lifetime warranty or a ten-year warranty against fogging or seal failure. Please ask about the manufacturer warranty that comes with your particular window. Can I get my door pre-hung? Depending on the manufacturer who makes your door, it may or may not be able to be pre-hung. Ask for pre-hanging, and we can answer this on a case-by-case basis. Do you deliver in Southern California? Delivery is available in Southern California. Call for pricing based on exact location. Are there brass products that don’t tarnish? Yes. Manufacturers Baldwin and Mandelli make brass hardware products that don’t tarnish. If I buy an unfinished door or window, can I use it as-is? Unfinished doors and windows need to be protected from the elements. All six sides of doors (or all unfinished wood surfaces of a window) must be sealed, to maintain the integrity of the product and the manufacturer’s warranty. Do Framed Openings products come with a warranty? Most of our manufacturers warranty their products. Ask for the applicable manufacturer warranty on your particular products.
